I wanted to cook dinner tonight. Beef and veggies. That's all this dish really is. But presentation is truly everything- especially when trying to eat healthy. Healthy food is GORGEOUS. But too often people eat the same old salad and chicken breast and get bored.
I say steak and veg. Hubs says pasta. First thing I see on my Pinterest is Olive Garden Gorgonzola steak alfredo. Oh God...
I had some zoodles prepped in the fridge from last Sunday's meal prep. Add some grilled steak, jarred light alfredo sauce(don't judge) and we have steak and alfredo covered.
Now to make ya say "Wow" it has to get dressed up.
Sautéed onions. Grilled red pepper. Blue cheese crumbles. Garnish herbs from the garden. Wow.
Whole dish about $7.50 =)
Less carbs. More veg. Easy substitutes. It's not rocket science.
