This is my friend Alyssa. We met in the gym locker room a few years ago and she became an instant friend. An amazingly dedicated, kind, outgoing friend, I am constantly inspired by her journey and honored we get to become better together. She is down over 80 lbs and spends her weekends running marathons, biking with her husband, and just being awesome. She joined me for a 5 mile run at 6:45 Saturday morning. And early morning gym dates Thursday and Friday. Alyssa rocks. Be like Alyssa. Get friends like Alyssa. You will be a happier, healthier person.

After that glorious run, we got more steps in with a trip to Boston. Of course my Fitbit died but I registered 20,954 steps for the day. Works for me. Spring is here!! Active days like this make me feel so totally okay with enjoying red wine, fried calamari, and gelato. I could not enjoy them as much if I sat on my ass all day.

Bring on Sunday. Oh this time change screwed me up. We brought the dogs for a beautiful hike on a trail we hadn't tried. I can see Uncanoonuc from my yard and I'm blessed to live here. Days like today make me love NH.

Next up was meal prep. Rice, peppers, and teriyaki chix for Alex (Lawrys Pineapple teriyaki marinade is ballin)

Asparagus for me.

Still going strong flour free. All I want is a donut. Nothing else matters. 😂
Big nap this afternoon was glorious.
Dinner was steak and potatoes. And ice cream. Then a bball game at 8 PM.

Fireball is so sleepy after we hiked. I'm enjoying a cup of fat free cottage cheese (3 smart points) and a cup of 0 SP strawberries.
I saw this poem today and it sums up my feelings perfectly.
I'd rather do shit than clean shit. I never say "Oh I can't...XYZ I gotta clean." Exercise is my priority. We're all gonna die. I'm gonna be old, healthy, happy, with mountain peaks to remember.
